Herakles Vobbler Shad 6cm (also sold or sized as 2.4 inches) is a highly popular soft plastic paddle-tail shad designed by the Italian brand Herakles (Colmic). Despite containing "vobbler" (wobbler) in its name—which usually refers to a hard plug—it is a silicone soft bait designed to produce heavy vibrations and a realistic swimming action.
Features & Specifications
- Design & Action: It features a hydrodynamic body with an incredibly active paddle tail. The tail begins moving and kicking the moment it touches the water, continuing to vibrate even on a weightless rig or during the descent phase (on the drop).
- S.S.I. Compound: It is manufactured using the proprietary Salt & Scent Injected (S.S.I.) compound. This unique formulation was customized specifically for this lure to ensure the silicone is soft enough for maximum movement while remaining durable enough to withstand multiple fish strikes.
- Size & Packaging: The 6cm variant typically comes in a retail pack containing 8 pieces per bag
- Target Species: It is a highly versatile choice for light spinning and finesse tactics, making it exceptionally effective for targeting Black Bass, Pike, Perch, Trout, and Zander/Walleye
Rigging Methods
Due to its supple texture and balanced body roll, you can fish the 6cm Vobbler Shad using several effective methods:
- Micro Jig Heads: Ideal for steady retrieves or bouncing along the bottom for perch and trout.
- Weightless / Texas Rig: Perfect for fishing over heavy weed beds or shallow structures where a natural, slow-sinking presentation is required.
- Drop Shot: The sensitive tail responds to the slightest rod twitches, making it an excellent choice for lethargic predators.
