Bombarda Marakas (or marakas bombarda) isa specialized fishing float or casting weight with internal lead or steel pellets that rattle when retrieved. This noise and vibration mimic feeding sounds to attract fish like trout in lakes or surface predators in the sea.
Features
- Rattle Effect: Internal spheres create sound and vibration during spinning or jerking.
- Buoyancy Options: Available in floating (G-0 buoyancy) and sinking variants across various weights.
- Casting Distance: Streamlined shape allows for long-distance casts even with lighter setups.
Common Uses
- Lake Trout Fishing: Popular in commercial trout ponds (often paired with the Tremarella technique).
- Inshore/Sea Fishing: Used to target surface predators like garfish or small pelagics
